This is a quite efficient power bank. All you need is a wall charger to charge the bank - it doesn't come with one. It does however come with a cable that has a USB port on one side so you can use it with any wall plug that takes USB - most phones these days do, and so do tablets. Problem solved. 

The bank takes a few hours to fully charge. It has four small lights on, each is for 25% of charge, and as the back charges the light changes from flashing to solid. 

The bank has dual USB port (Input : 5V/2A, output : 5V/3.5A). Tried charging my cellphone and ipad and had no issues, they charged quite quickly - oh and did I mention I was charging them simultaneously? Pretty convenient. 

As I travel for work quite a bit, this power bank will be coming with me on every trip!

Great product at a great price. Five out of five stars - hopefully the product will last a very, very long time :)

Living in an area that is 1000m above the sea level and has more sunny days than most, it is important to be careful about your skin. I have been using various make-ups that claim to have SPF but found that the SPF on those is usually not higher than 15 which is simply not enough for here. So I was pretty stoked when I got the opportunity to try SPF 30 tinted sunscreen. 

Having pretty pale skin, I was worried about how the tint in the sunscreen would match my skin but it turned out I did not need to worry - the tint is fairly light and it blends with my skin super nicely. The sunscreen goes on smooth and does not leave you with oily feeling. No white cast like majority of other sunscreens! 

I love that this is 2 in 1 product - moisturizer and sunscreen. It has antioxidants and anti-aging agents,  and it is toxin free, NANO particle free, harsh chemical free, paraben free, nut oil free...everything you would look for in natural cosmetics!

The tube is bright orange which makes it stand out if you have a pile of other products you use on a regular basis. The cream itself has a slight scent to it but not overpowering. 

My new favourite!

I also appreciated that the company sent small samples of two of their other products along. Great way to make a customer feel appreciated! :)

I have pretty dry scalp and hair and I get dry skin easily, so when  I got the opportunity to try Moroccan Argan Oil I was pretty excited!

The oil is super light weight and absorbs very quickly. It has a light smell to it that I don't particularly care for, but it's light enough for me to not turn the product down, and the smell dissipates quickly.

The dropper makes it very easy to control how much you are using.  A little goes a long way. I tend to have eczema in my scalp and massaging a bit of this triple extra virgin grade helps with the flakiness and itchiness. My over-processed hair loves this oil too - it feels nice, smooth and shiny after using a couple of drops - I would rub the oil in my hands and then just run my hands through my hair to cover it evenly.

I also like to use a bit on my dry elbows and feet.

+ Lightweight, absorbs quickly
+  A little goes a long way
- I don't care for the smell, but that is a personal preference

Covergirl LashBlast Fusion Mascara

I was pretty stoked to try the new Covergirl LashBlast Fusion mascara. I have over sensitive skin and eyes but some Covergirl products work well for me.

I absolutely love that this mascara is super black. I have blue/grey/green eyes, the color is pretty hard to pinpoint and somewhat changes with my mood and with how tired I am; and my eyelashes are black, so I stick to black mascara - it looks more natural on me than trying brown.

I love the brush in this mascara. It separates eyelashes really well, it does not clump, and it's overall super easy to apply. The advertisement claims that Fusion combines volume with incredible length - unfortunately that is not quite my experience. It does add a bit of volume and a bit of length, but I would not call it incredible length - I have had other drugstore brand mascaras that gave me quite a bit more length than this one. With that being said, I will continue to use this mascara and I will use the awesome coupons to purchase the other ones - may be one of the three other ones will work even better for me than this one!

Rating four out of five stars - even though I did not get the length on my eyelashes I was hoping for, it is still a great mascara for this pricepoint.

This is a very pretty looking oil diffuser. Comes well packaged in a box, with everything you need - minus the essential oils.

The exact contents of the package are:
- Diffuser
- Electricity plug (standard North American)
- Measuring cup
- User manual

The diffuser is very easy to use, you just twist the top of and then lift a plastic part inside (which has an arrow pointing to where to lift). Once you fill it with water & essential oil of your choice, you just twist the top part back on until you hear a little click.

The diffuser has two buttons - one is the on/off and the other one is for color change on the top part of the diffuser. The on/off button has two modes, one is continuous use until the liquid runs out, the other mode makes the diffuser to continuously turn on/turn off in sequence.

One small area of improvement would be to add a timer but perhaps that would be too complicated.

Pineapple Peeler Corer Slicer Easy Cutter Decorer Wedger Stainless Steel Kitchen Utensil Set

So this is one of my favourite kitchen gadgets. Why am I learning about it now when I could have been likely using it for a while? Haha. 

This peeler/corer/slicer is made of stainless steel with plastic click-on handles (you get three of those in three different colours) and SOOO easy to use. 

I always wondered how the rings in the canned pineapple are made and now I have my answer - this gadget makes exactly that, nice pineapple rings! You just cut the top part of the pineapple off, and start using the corer. The way it cuts, the pineapple shell stays preserved so you can keep it as a bowl/cup should you wish to do that - once you get to the bottom with the cutter you just pull everything out and voila!

The gadget is easy to clean, it is dishwasher safe (top rack) or you can use soapy water. 

It honestly cannot be easier than this. Love it!

One added surprise in the box is an extra little gadget that you can use to clip off strawberry stems.

So, the other day I got a lovely message from a friend of mine in Vancouver. She was wondering if I tried a teething necklace for my little one...she recently started a new home based business and you guessed it, it is focused on chewellry. Yep, chewellry - the jewellery you can chew on! 

She sent me one of her new creations so that I can see what her chewellry is all about - and I love it so much I want to spread the word! The necklace came in a beautiful packaging, and I was nicely surprised how pretty it actually is! The beads are made of 100% food grade silicone, PBA free, FDA approved - so they truly are safe for your baby to chew on! And...the necklace is so pretty it could be worn by an older child who is trying to get rid of the bad habit of biting nails. 

I had a good laugh when I put the necklace on - my daughter immediately grabbed on it and for some reason she thought it was the most hillarious thing on the planet - she was just giggling and giggling while pulling on it. She was pulling pretty hard - thankfully my friend Matina thought of everything and secured the necklace with a safety piece that comes apart if you pull really hard to prevent strangling. With that being said - babies should never ever be allowed to use the necklace unsupervised - I am sure you are well aware of that but wanted to make sure ;) Anyways, it took my daughter a little bit to figure out she can actually chew on the beads - but once she figured it out there was no stopping her! It is now one of her favourite chew "toys".

What a neat little FM transmitter allowing you to use multiple input methods. Note this is not a bluetooth device, BUT....you can insert an SD card, an audio line, or a USB flash drive, with music on it right into the device.

The device fits perfectly into your car's lighter and does not take up too much space. It has a nice screen with super easy  options to advance tracks or search stations. I tried several stations and on all got a clear sound. With that being said, obviously the sound quality will be as good as your FM audio quality so keep that in mind.

I also like the 12V cigarette lighter input - I have not come across a car that doesn't have this so it will fit in virtually all cars out there. Plus the transmitter is a fairly small device so it is easy to hide it out of sight when you are not using it. 

Somehow I expected the screen to have a protective foil on it when I opened the package, so was a little surprised that was not the case - the screen looked a tiny bit scratched before I even opened the bag, but that does not take away from easy use of this device.

This is a really cool looking Apple iPhone and Apple watch stand. It is super light in weight; and very stylish. I love the aluminum finish! It is super easy to assemble and disassemble - the two pieces fit together nicely.  The stand is nicely stable. The stand comes without cables but since your phone comes with one it's not a big deal to plug your existing charging cable. 

The place where you put your phone and your watch is padded with silicone to prevent scratches. 

One minus to note, if you have iPhone 5 or older, it will not fit in the stand if you use a protective case, even if it is one of those slim ones. 

Great little gadget for a very reasonable price.

#CanadaPost update

Getting my parcels was quite a saga. Sigh. 

 Apparently, "Item successfully delivered to community mailbox or parcel locker" on Thursday at 8:55AM, at least according to the tracking numbers on both packages. Guess what, nothing in the mailbox and no key to the parcel locker. Called Canada Post on Friday morning, and they said they would check when the delivery person is out here. No "sorry for the inconvenience", no "please call again if it does not get resolved by this XY time". 

The packages finally showed up on my doorstep on Friday afternoon. So much for "Item successfully delivered to community mailbox or parcel locker" ...doorstep is not not exactly secure.... One package was pretty light and it was quite windy so I am lucky it did not fly away. And let's not forget there is no explanation why did the packages turn up more than 24 hours after they were supposedly successfully delivered. 

Glad I was not heading out for the long weekend or else there would be no packages upon my return. I have a feeling a small private company would be out of business if they treated their customers this way...would you agree? 

 I am really not impressed.

Exciting day today, I got to test a stand that caters to a phone and a watch at once! 

Sadly I will not be able to comment on the Apple watch stand part as I do not own Apple watch and do not know anyone who does....but that does not take away from my excitement :) 

With that being said, this a neat little stand. The stand itself is fairly small and lightweight, The stand can handle various versions of iPhone and Androids, as long as they are under 11mm of thickness.

I wish I had Apple Watch, this really looks like an awesome stand if you are looking for a combo. I will just hang my regular watch on but it's just not the same ;) With how this stand is made, it is easy  to tuck the power cords in the back and keep wires concealed to avoid getting them tangled up. 

The base is non-slip which keeps it from sliding where it shouldn't - I keep my phone, my watch and bunch of other things on my nightstand so this will help keeping everything a little more organized!

I had the opportunity to test bluetooth headset and I am pretty excited to share my experience. 

This headset is extremely lightweight and comfortable. I have quite a challenge with earbuds but these fit quite nicely. And boy are they ever noise cancelling! They stay right on place during sport - minus running, I have to admit. But that might be because of the shape of my ears. So far most earbuds kept on falling out from my ears during any sport so the fact that these stay put for weight training, stationary bike and stretching is awesome. 

The controls are very well located, easy to reach and easy to use. 

The sound quality is very good, and did I mention the noise cancelling? :) I have only used the mic in fairly quiet areas so unsure how would it perform in high noise but where I used it it worked very nicely.

Pairing was very easy as well. The headset can be paired up with two phones at once so if you have a personal and work cell, this is a perfect solution!
